TWO PIECES OF LAND is a performative intervention against war, against oblivion,

against death, but also against injustice in all its forms.

A small tribute to those young people who lost their lives in the Malvinas,

to the many others who lost their lives later, in a country used to look the other way.

Because the homeland is nothing but, in the end, the place where we decide to die,

here we decide to embrace that last moment of tenderness,

where two young people hold hands and laugh looking at the night sky,

drunk on life, which is where the young people of the world should be instead of dying of cold in a war.

"Malvinas are the lives that were taken and are also the lives that continue to be taken from us."

South of the south of the south of the last town
where the cold makes the wolves' eyes jump with cold,
where the whale jumps
and the submarines implode without apparent cause,
where the dead are forgotten in the open
outside of governments and epidemics
there are two pieces of land
two lost islands
in the most absolute immensity of the ocean
